By the end of the presentations, participants will be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of Applied Improvisation

2. Discuss the "rules of improv"
3. Apply the "rules of improv" both professionally and personally

Keynote Option:

If you have ever seen the show “Whose Line is it Anyway?”, you know how the theater technique of improvisation can provide hilarious entertainment. Did you know that what seems like randomness, however, is actually guided by very specific rules? The “rules of improv” are not only helpful for providing entertainment, but can also transform how we interact with others. This presentation challenges participants to open their minds and consider what it would be like to “always say yes”!

Workshop Option:

Using the “Rules of Improv”, participants learn a variety of skills in order to help them be more effective at both work and life. This hands-on and interactive seminar thrusts participants into a safe environment, free of judgement while encouraging the risk of failure. The skills that attendees get from this workshop include, but definitely are not limited to: public speaking, quick decision-making, empathy, listening with purpose, the importance of both leading and following, teamwork...the list could go on and on! While not solely focused on comedy, some pretty funny things usually come out during this workshop.
